Tanase answers to Maia Sandu's allegations: PAS has been notified about the CCM meeting five days ago
The Constitutional Court President, Alexandru Tanase, said that the Action and Solidarity Party has been notified about five days ago that, as soon as it will be concluded the last case, the Court will meet to consider the validation of the results of the presidential election.
Durring today's CCM meeting, the President of the Court stated that: "Ms. Maia Sandu's party was notified 5 days ago, and yesterday morning, at the 10.00 a.m., it was placed the press release on the CCM website regarding the last case and it was made the announcement on today's meeting. I see no basis for such findings. Each one choose what is more important - to be here or to be abroad," said Tanase.
We remind you that today the PAS leader, Maia Sandu, wrote on her Facebook page that: "The Constitutional Court decided to organize the meeting of examination of the Central Election Commission report in my absence. Even if we asked an adjournment for just one day, the Court was quick to set the meeting for today." In this context the PAS has filed today a complaint to the Constitutional Court.
Afterwards, the President of the Constitutional Court, Alexandru Tanase, said at the beginning of today's meeting that so far no complaints have been filed from the presidential candidate, Maia Sandu, such a document was registered only today.
